54 HOURS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

More than 50 participants, more than 10 mentors, more than 10 guests, more than 54 hours of work, resulted in 10 ventures that presented their business models and prototypes to a group of jurors at the Panama Startup Weekend event at the City of Saber.

More than 20 ideas made their pitch, and of these, 10 were selected and have evolved into the following 10 ventures:

  1. UNE, a mobile platform that allows users to do carpooling.

  2. Recicla PTY, a solution for medium-sized companies that solves the logistical problem of recycling garbage.

  3. CitApp, an app that allows users to save time by helping them manage appointments for services such as hairdressing, medical services, etc.

  4. Chef4Me, a web platform that connects emerging chefs to provide home-delivered meals.

  5. Aidu, a mobile platform that connects wedding service providers such as churches, florists, etc with brides.

  6. Zave, a blockchain-based solution for validating professional certifications and qualifications.

  7. Mankin, a solution that integrates with online stores that sell shoes so that users can enter their foot measurements and buy shoes that are the correct size.

  8. Edulab, a solution to solve the problem of teacher demotivation by offering workshops based on TIEC methodology.

  9. MusiCCollab, a web and mobile platform that enables collaboration between musicians who wish to share soundtracks.

  10. Monstri, a mobile app that provides an educational game with psycho-emotional teaching and allows parents to be part of the process.

Entrepreneurship recognition:

The winner of this 54-hour competition was UNE, the mobile platform for carpooling. In second place was Zave, and in third place was Mankin.

All participants received prizes, but the first-place winner will represent Panama in the regional Startup Weekend competition.

An event organized by volunteers who gave everything to make it a success. Thanks to these volunteers for making this edition a reality in Panama and we hope to see more like this in our country!
